Barabara Kingsolver is a widely acclaimed American novelist, essayist, poet, and social activist. She is the author of 14 books translated into more than two dozen languages. Silas House serves as the NEH Chair of Appalachian Studies at Berea College and the bestselling author of seven books. Both are natives of Eastern Kentucky.

Kingsolver and House will have a public conversation about Appalachia, family, social justice, biodiversity, and the interaction between humans and their communities and environments in this Appalachian Convocation at Berea College.

Books will be for sale; signing will follow the event.
