Congratulations on your acceptance to Berea College! We are excited to welcome you to our college community soon and look forward to everything you will accomplish. Please review this page in its entirety to learn about the required steps to confirm your space in the incoming class.
Commitment Deadline: May 1, 2023
Meeting this deadline is to your benefit and will result in your I-20 form being mailed to you after April 20 so that you can begin the visa process in May. All items listed below must be completed and received by our International Student & Scholar Services office on or before the deadline in order to receive an I-20.
1. International Declaration of Intent
The declaration of intent collects important information such as your name, important addresses, and emergency contact information. Please complete the intent form then scan and email it to isss@berea.edu.
2. Passport Biographic Page
The biographic page is the page with your photograph, name, date, and place of birth. If you do not currently have a passport you should apply for a passport immediately. Please scan and email your biographic page to isss@berea.edu.
3. Deposit
We use services provided by Flywire for the payment of deposits. Please refer to your offer of admission email for your deposit amount and personal identification number. These funds will be available for your future use for any educationally related expenses or in the event of an emergency. Any funds remaining in your account at graduation will be returned to you when you graduate.
How to make your deposit:
- On the Flywire website, select “I want to Pay”
- Select Your School: Berea College
- Enter your deposit amount and your country and your information to create a new account. (It will also give you the exchange rate.)
- On the next page choose “Admission Deposit”
- Enter your B# (Berea College ID Number) provided to you in your acceptance email
4. Medical History Form(s)
The medical history forms collect a variety of information including allergies, health conditions, immunizations, and current medications. You should also begin making arrangements to have the required immunizations for living in the United States. Please scan and email your medical history forms and immunization records to isss@berea.edu
