The FSA ID includes a username and password which are required to log into and sign the FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid). Students should create their own FSA ID, and parents of dependent students also need to create their own separate FSA ID in order to sign the FAFSA electronically.<\/p>\n<h3>Step 2\u2014<span style=\"color: #005a8b;\">File the FAFSA<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Visit <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\">studentaid.gov\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0to file your FAFSA.<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Include Berea College<\/em> as a school you would like to receive your FAFSA. You will need our <strong>school code: 001955<\/strong>.Use the \u201cLink to IRS\u201d button to electronically transfer your federal tax return information into your FAFSA (<a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.ed.gov\/sa\/\">detailed instructions on how to do so<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h3>Step 3\u2014<span style=\"color: #005a8b;\">Review your Student Aid Report (SAR)<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The Student Aid Report (SAR) is a paper or electronic document that gives you information about your eligibility for federal student aid and lists your answers to the questions on your FAFSA.<\/p>\n<p>If you provided a valid e-mail address on your FAFSA, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access an online copy of your SAR. Typically, you will be able to access your SAR within two weeks of filing your FAFSA.<\/p>\n<p>You can also view or print your SAR by clicking Login on the FAFSA on the Web home page to log in, then select either the PDF or HTML version of the SAR from the \u201cMy FAFSA\u201d page.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\"><strong>If accepted to Berea, you will receive an estimate of first-year costs shortly after receiving your acceptance letter. In the spring, you will receive an official financial aid award letter for your review.
