Complete the Berea College Application for Admission<\/a>. <\/strong>There is no application fee.<\/p>\n

2. Submit an Essay\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Submit your essay response via the online submission form<\/a> as a PDF.\u00a0Essay should include:\u00a0<\/strong>a.)\u00a0<\/b>How have you spent your time since leaving Berea College? b.) Share about your former experience and performance while enrolled at Berea College, including some explanation as to why you discontinued your enrollment. c.) What would you like the Admissions Decision Team to know about you prior to making a decision regarding your application for readmission that they otherwise would be unlikely to learn? d.) What are you planning to major in and how certain are you of your academic plans?<\/em><\/p>\n

3. FAFSA<\/span><\/h2>\n

Submit the 2022-2023 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at studentaid.gov. <\/a><\/strong>It is available October 1. Berea’s FAFSA code is 001955.<\/p>\n

4. Statement of Good Standing\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Submit a Statement of Good Standing<\/a> from all institutions you have attended since leaving Berea (if applicable).\u00a0<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/4″][vc_single_image image=”926″ style=”vc_box_outline_circle_2″ border_color=”blue”][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”3\/4″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n

5. College Transcript\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Submit your official transcripts from all institutions you have attended since leaving Berea (if applicable) at transcripts@berea.edu<\/a>.<\/strong>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]*For eligible non-citizens, depending on your USCIS status, a copy of your permanent resident card or employment authorization card will be required.<\/strong><\/em>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_tta_accordion][vc_tta_section title=”Who can apply for readmission to Berea?” tab_id=”1599059308080-bb08652c-066c”][vc_column_text]Any (both domestic and international) student who has previously attended Berea as a degree-seeking student may apply.\u00a0 Applicants are ineligible for readmission to Berea if they are in default of federal student loans or if they owe an account balance to Berea or any other institution they have attended prior to reapplying to Berea.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Can I apply if I am in default with my Federal student loans?” tab_id=”1599059308081-77e5b4b9-511e”][vc_column_text]No.\u00a0 Applicants are ineligible for admission to Berea if they are in default of their federal student loans, or if they owe a balance to any other institutions at the point of application to Berea.\u00a0 Any applicant in default with their student loans will need to contact their loan provider to resolve their default.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Am I eligible to reapply if I have an outstanding account balance from my time at Berea?” tab_id=”1599059739595-f1b8e7d4-fcf0″][vc_column_text]No.\u00a0 Potential readmission applicants must first resolve any outstanding account balance before submitting an application for readmission.\u00a0 Account balances can be confirmed with the Student Accounts Office via phone.\u00a0 Their phone number is 859-985-3094.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”I have attended another college since attending Berea. Do I need to be in good standing with that institution before applying to Berea?” tab_id=”1599059786810-177c137c-7604″][vc_column_text]Yes.\u00a0 Applicants will need to provide both official college transcripts and Statement of Good Standings from all institutions attended after Berea.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”I recently left Berea. When will I be eligible to apply for readmission?” tab_id=”1599059826642-8a69d3ee-0af5″][vc_column_text]Students may be required to wait a prescribed length of time before being eligible to apply for readmission, depending upon the circumstances of their departure.<\/p>\n

  1. Students who withdrew without suspension<\/strong>: Previously enrolled students must wait for one full regular term of absence before reapplying to Berea.<\/li>\n
  2. Students who left on suspension<\/strong>: Unless designated at the time of suspension, a student who has been suspended from Berea cannot be considered for readmission until the passage of two regular terms of absence.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    [\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”If I was suspended, or I left Berea on probation, will I return with the same status?” tab_id=”1599059877188-208ce696-8d79″][vc_column_text]Yes.\u00a0 All readmitted students will return with the same academic, labor, and social status assigned at the time of departure.\u00a0 An application for readmission will not be considered in the case of a pending on-campus disciplinary charge and\/or hearing until the case has been settled.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”Is there anything I can do to increase my chance of readmission?” tab_id=”1599059916604-a388c960-1338″][vc_column_text]It is essential for all applicants to turn in all required materials before their application deadline.\u00a0 Applicants may submit additional letters of recommendation, and are encouraged to do so.\u00a0 These letters may come from old professors, current employers, and community leaders.\u00a0 Applicants are also encouraged to pay particular attention to submitting a detailed essay which explains at length the preparations they have made for their success upon returning to Berea.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=”I came to Berea as a first-year student but left before classes began.
