\/><\/a><em>Considering Kindred Lands<\/em> presents two bilingual banner exhibitions originally prepared for the Appalachian-Carpathian International Conferences held in Ukraine in 2013 and 2017.\u00a0 Curator Christopher Miller developed the exhibitions to present some of the results of his exploration of comparison of the two mountain regions.\u00a0 Miller served as a Fulbright Scholar in Ukraine in 2011 and 2014.\u00a0 The first exhibition, titled <em>Kindred Lands &#8211; \u0421\u043f\u043e\u0440\u0456\u0434\u043d\u0435\u043d\u0456 \u0437\u0435\u043c\u043b\u0456<\/em>, consists six banners of images and bilingual text thematically grouped.\u00a0 It focuses on similar narratives being played out in region that are part of the construction of the region.\u00a0 It was prepared for the 2013 conference held in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine.\u00a0 The second exhibition, titled <em>Mountain Materiality &#8211; \u041d\u0430\u0433\u0456\u0440\u043d\u0430 \u0456\u0441\u0442\u043e\u0442\u043d\u0456\u0441\u0442\u044c<\/em>, consists of five banners of images and bilingual text thematically grouped.\u00a0 It focuses on the various &#8220;material cultures&#8221; found in both regions, such as a material culture of forest products, that are part of regional identity.\u00a0 It was prepared for the 2017 conference held in Yaremche and Rakhiv, Ukraine.\u00a0 The original banners of both exhibits remain on long-term display at the Ivano-Frankivsk College of Precarpathian National University in Ivano-Frankivsk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dates
