This is the\u00a0update for\u00a0Monday,\u00a0September 26,\u00a02022.<\/p>\n
Currently, we have 8 quarantining cases among students.\u00a0 Cases continue to be relatively uncomplicated.\u00a0 Improved from last week, we have only two on-campus employees quarantining with positive tests.\u00a0 The on-campus Bereans who have tested positive work in College Square and Jelkyl.<\/p>\n

As of last Friday Madison County\u2019s COVID community level has improved greatly and we are now in the \u201cGreen\u201d designation.\u00a0 Of our neighboring counties Jackson and Rockcastle have gone \u201cGreen,\u201d too, as have about half the counties in the Commonwealth.<\/p>\n
The number of new reported cases in the Commonwealth has improved a bit to 7402<\/p>\n
in the past week.\u00a0 The test positivity rate has continued to decrease and is now at about 9%.\u00a0The number of deaths per week in the state is holding pretty steady, 67 this past week, vs. \u00a080 last week.<\/p>\n
Given that significant numbers of cases are continuing on campus, the College will continue its current masking policy:<\/p>\n
