The organization consists of chapters at various approved institutions of learning. There are currently 276 such chapters, one of which being Kentucky Epsilon, the Berea College Chapter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Membership:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Membership is initiated through the chapters. A person who has been initiated remains a member for life, regardless of continued affiliation with an institution having a chapter. Initiations are held each spring in conjunction with an invited speaker and a dinner. Kentucky Epsilon has the following requirements for membership:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements for Sophomore Inductees:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Must have achieved a grade of &#8220;A&#8221; in the following courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MAT 220, Calculus I<\/li>\n<li>MAT 225, Calculus II<\/li>\n<li>MAT 315, Fundamental Concepts of Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>MAT 330, Calculus III<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Have a GPA in the top 25% of the Sophomore class.<\/p>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<p>1. Must have achieved a grade of &#8220;A&#8221; in the following courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MAT 220, Calculus I<\/li>\n<li>MAT 225, Calculus II<\/li>\n<li>MAT 315, Fundamental Concepts of Mathematics<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Be currently enrolled in MAT 330, Calculus III for Spring Term.<br \/>\n3. Have a GPA in the top 25% of the Sophomore class.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements for Junior or Senior Inductees:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Must have taken the following courses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MAT 220, Calculus I<\/li>\n<li>MAT 225, Calculus II<\/li>\n<li>MAT 315, Fundamental Concepts of Mathematics<\/li>\n<li>MAT 330, Calculus III<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2. Have a GPA of 3.0 or greater in mathematics courses.<br \/>\n3.
