Why Study Abroad? Top Three Reasons

  • Learn a language from native speakers: What better way is there to learn a language than by speaking it on a daily basis? Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student, having a chance to practice with native speakers will dramatically improve your listening and speaking skills.
  • Travel, explore, discover: travel enhances your worldview, allows you to experience a different culture first-hand and to learn more about yourself, your values and beliefs.
  • Improve your future chances: whether through improved language skills, new international connections and friends, or taking courses that Berea College doesn’t offer – studying abroad enhances the value of your degree and improves both your employment and graduate school chances.
