Mary Galloway \u201907 serves as the Executive Director of Individual Philanthropy, and finds great joy helping Berea\u2019s alumni and friends fulfill their philanthropic passions. A native of Northeast Ohio, Mary came to Berea College in 2003 as a student and never left. She fell in love with Berea\u2019s beautiful campus, the rich history and one-of-a-kind mission, and the caring community.<\/p>\n

After earning her bachelor\u2019s degree in English in 2007, Mary accepted a temporary writing position in the Public Relations office, where she had worked as a student. That short-term job turned into a gratifying career at Berea. In 2020, Mary completed her master\u2019s degree in organizational leadership with a certificate in nonprofit administration through Western Kentucky University.<\/p>\n

Mary tied the knot with her Berea sweetheart, Kelvin Galloway \u201906, on campus in Danforth Chapel in 2011, and their daughter, Mackenna, was born in 2019. They share their home in Berea with two spirited pups, Koko and Monty. Mary and Kelvin are deeply grateful for the difference Berea College has made in their lives.
