Here is a checklist of steps the hiring manager and new employee need to take.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Before<\/strong> arrival of new employee to campus:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The hiring supervisor should request new equipment (laptop, monitor, etc) from IS&amp;S Helpdesk (<a href=\"mailto:help_desk@berea.edu\">help_desk@berea.edu<\/a>) when a new position has been approved and posted on the job application site.<\/li>\n<li>The request should include office location for the technology as well as any information re: desk phone needs (display change, voicemail setup, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>On arrival<\/strong> of new employee to begin work:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>After receiving your ID from the Public Safety Office, come to the Helpdesk at the end of the Hutchins Library bldg. to receive any equipment assigned to you.<\/li>\n<li>IS&amp;S staff will\u00a0assist with logging into our network and\u00a0provide your computer as soon as possible. \u00a0Some additional time may be required to configure your computer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For\u00a0accessing your email, changing your password, and access to other helpful resources, please review this document: <a href=\"https:\/\/legacy.berea.edu\/iss\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/133\/2017\/02\/Useful-Campus-Information-V6.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Useful Campus Technology Information<\/a>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It is our goal to make the hiring and welcoming of new employees to the Berea College campus as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
