home of both the Berea College men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s tennis teams.\u00a0 The courts are also used frequently by the college&#8217;s physical education department and patrons of the Seabury Center.\u00a0 The courts are available for recreational use to the general public at no fee and are a popular spot for the community&#8217;s local tennis enthusiasts.<\/p>\n<p>In the summer of 2012, the courts were resurfaced with the Premier Court \u00ae surface coating.\u00a0 This new coating is designed to reduce injuries and provide consistency of player performance with a state-of-the art, all-weather, cushioned surface.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of excellent athletic facilities and a wonderful campus setting allows Berea to attract elite student-athletes, those committed both to excellence on the courts and fields upon which they compete, and in the classrooms where they learn and study.\u00a0 The fields and courts upon which our athletes practice, train and compete are amongst the finest in the region. Berea College annually hosts conference championships and serves as a tournament destination for numerous events.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]<strong>Tennis Court Features Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10 courts located below Seabury Center<\/li>\n<li>The college is host to many tennis tournaments due to its extensive tennis facilities.<\/li>\n<li>Five lighted courts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_message message_box_style=&#8221;3d&#8221; message_box_color=&#8221;grey&#8221; icon_fontawesome=&#8221;fa fa-commenting-o&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Be Sure To Follow Us for Updates!<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a class=\"twitter-timeline\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/seaburycenter\" data-widget-id=\"492456685672218624\">Tweets by @seaburycenter<\/a>\/\/<br \/>\n[\/vc_message][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]<strong>GPS Address:\u00a0 599 North Main Street, Berea, KY\u00a0 40404<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>From the North:<\/strong><br \/>\nFrom I-75, take the north Berea exit (exit 77) and make a left off the ramp onto KY 595.\u00a0 The second light will be an intersection of KY 595 and the Berea by-pass.\u00a0 You will want to make a right to remain on KY 595, past the Kentucky Artisan Center, over the railroad tracks and past the college farms.\u00a0 When you reach the traffic light at the intersection of KY 595 and Ellipse, you will continue straight.\u00a0 You will travel approximately 150 yards and make a right onto Seabury Drive, which is the first road on the right past the 595\/Ellipse intersection.\u00a0 The parking lot and tennis courts are off to your right.<\/p>\n<p><strong>From the South: <\/strong><br \/>\nFrom I-75, take the south Berea exit (exit 76) and make a right off the ramp onto 25 North.\u00a0 Continue straight on this road as it winds through town and eventually through the heart of campus.\u00a0 As you approach the Boone Tavern Hotel, the road will become two lanes and you want to remain in the left lane.\u00a0 Make a left at the next intersection (traffic light #9).\u00a0 As you proceed to the bottom of the hill, you will want to make a left onto Seabury Drive.\u00a0 The parking lot and tennis courts are off to your right.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] The Berea College tennis courts will be closed during athletic practices\/events.
