Jalen Prater ’21

Major: Computer Science
Position: Photography Associate

Jalen found his passion for photography in the Marketing and Communications department on campus. Seeing the look on his clients’ faces after they receive their photos is why Jalen decided to pursue photography for his career after he graduates.

Sophia Winkowitsch ’20

Major: Agriculture and Natural Resources
Position: Student Forage Manager

For Sophia, moving cattle, fixing fences, feeding pigs, and digging water lines are all part of just another day at the office. After graduation, she hopes to create a farm that serves as an educational facility and an example of how sustainable farming is the future of agriculture.

Pedro Herrera-Castro ’20

Major: Chemistry
Position: Research Assistant

Thanks to his labor position as a research assistant, Pedro can add “created a new molecule” to his resume! He says his position has greatly enhanced his studies as a chemistry major and gives him a competitive advantage when applying for graduate school and entering the workforce.

Nayla says helping create summer programs for campus is extremely rewarding to her in her labor position with Student Life. She loves to see the impact each program has. You’ll never guess what Nayla’s real favorite part of working with Student Life is.
