Biography

Pastor David C. Simmons is a native of Lexington, Ky and serves as the Lead Pastor of Connect Church in Lexington, Ky. He received his Associates Degree in Business from Ashford University and studied many courses in theology and fundamentals of ministry. He has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ since he was 7 years old. In 2006, he was Licensed as a Minister and in 2012, Ordained as a Pastor. His heart belongs to his beautiful daughter, Aria Amiyah Wallace who is inclined in music as well.

Music is at the center of his heart. David’s first instrument was the Cello. After meeting an esteemed Jazz Pianist, he decided to teach himself how to play both the piano and organ beginning at the age of 7. This desire was birthed from the having a strong Church foundation. He has served as a Director of Music since the age of 13. Because of his gift of music and favor on his life, David has had the amazing pleasure of playing and singing with Professional Gospel Artists such as Kierra Sheard, Ricky Dillard, Kurt Carr and more. David is grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Music Director of The Black Music Ensemble of Berea College. “Music is language that ones life is the lyrics. Live well and you’ll never fall flat. Live well and you’ll always be sharp. Live well and allow your life to sing for you.” – David Simmons.
