While seeing themselves as guardians of African traditions and culture, these musicians also create new musical horizons of contemporary fusion inspired by traditional Nigerian folk music. Led by Toby Foyeh—multi-instrumentalist, composer, and singer—and with the backing of female singers and dancers, this band features traditional African instruments and assorted percussions, flutes, guitars and keyboards to express the spirits, sounds, and rhythms of Africa.
