Darrell West is vice president and director of Governance Studies and director of the Center for Technology Innovation at the Brookings Institute. His lecture will cover what happened in the election, why things turned out the way they did, and what they mean for the future of the country. Prior to his current work with the Brookings Institute, Dr. West was the John Hazen White Professor of Political Science and Public Policy and director of the Taubman Center for Public Policy at Brown University. He is the author of 17 books, including Brain Gain: Rethinking U.S. Immigration Policy, and Digital Medicine: Health Care in the Internet Era. Co-sponsored with the Department of Political Science.
