Berea College graduate Gyude Moore has a Master’s degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University. He has worked with Bread for the World and Oxfam American and is currently an aide to Liberian President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf. Moore reflects on service as seen through his return to war-torn Liberia, believing that the world is an organism with “an inbuilt capacity to heal” and that those who serve are “a part of its immune system.” Co-sponsored with CCC and Center for Excellence in Learning Through Service (CELTS). Service Convocation.
