- Apply for a passport or renewal immediately if you have not yet done so.
- Work with your professor to apply for a visa if needed. Email ann_butwell@berea.edu if you have further inquiries.
- Don’t register for summer because CIE will take care of this for you.
- Reply immediately to the ISIC/STA email that comes to you asking you to upload your photo and confirm your information so that your ISIC card can get mailed to you in a timely manner.
- Visit Health Services and have them sign your International Travel Health Survey.
- Fill out all enrollment forms on the berea.abroadoffice.edu website.
Berea Requirements Before Departure:
The following sections will detail what should be finished in the time leading up to your trip. This includes Health, Insurance, Financial Aid, etc.
More information will be discussed in depth on the announced orientation date which will take place on a Saturday.
By the end of Fall semester:
Visit Student Health Services at White House Clinic
- Get BC health form filled out and upload it here.
- Be sure your immunizations are up-to-date.
Contact any specialist(s) necessary and inform them of your plans to go abroad. If you need prescriptions for your trip, prepare for this. You will need however much is necessary for the entire duration of your trip.
You will receive a special opportunities form in March and will need to have it signed and prepared by April 1st.
Flight tickets for BIST students will be included in the overall cost of the trip. You will not have to pay any additional fees for departure.
Transportation to the departure point will be provided. If an exception is needed, please talk to the professor leading your trip.
