Biography

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with a Doctorate in Counseling Education.  I have served as the Director of Counseling Services at Berea College for the past 16 years. My professional training has focused on skills to help students who struggle with anxiety, stress, depression, family issues, relationship challenges, self-acceptance, and personal growth.  I believe that each of you have the capacity to change your lives, despite difficult pasts, by letting go of old patterns of thinking and making productive choices.  I will assist you in developing lifelong skills and help you to maximize your gifts and potential while at Berea College.  If personal counseling is not for you, I’d love for you to attend one of my Yoga and/or Pilates or Koru Mindfulness courses.  When not at work, you will find me practicing or teaching yoga and Pilates, hiking, biking or reading.
