The SGA facilitates student participation in campus governance by bringing about an increased understanding of the responsibilities of democratic life, promoting student welfare, representing student concerns and opinions, protecting the interests of students, and fostering communication between students, staff, and faculty.

The board of residents focuses on building community and solving problems in your residence hall.
Senate
Democracy
The Senate allocates SGA funds, encourages and sponsors campus events that contribute to awareness, knowledge, and thought about contemporary issues and makes policy recommendations for campus governance.
Executive Council
Advocacy
The Executive Council represents the SGA to students, faculty, administrators, and staff.
Judiciary
Fairness
The Student Judiciary is responsible for interpreting the Constitution, bylaws, and legislation passed by either the Senate or the Board of Residents when in dispute and works to establish policies concerning membership to J-Boards.
