Bio

Chris Lakes is Director in the Office of Student Success & Transition. He has worked at Berea College since 2001 and has been a presenter at national, regional, and state conferences across the country on topics related to retention and student success. His professional interests include student development theory in practice, supporting students experiencing emotional distress, metacognition, self-efficacy, and creating environments that promote active and engaged college transition.
