Berea College Recognizes 74 Students at Mid-Year Ceremony

Berea College recognized 74 students Sunday during its Mid-Year Recognition Ceremony. Carl and Ann Evans, a couple with deep Berea roots, addressed the seniors, who represented 17 states and five different countries.

Berea College’s Recognition Ceremony for Mid-Year Graduates was held Sunday, Dec. 9 at 3 p.m. in Phelps Stokes Chapel. Alexander Gibson, executive director of Appalshop, Inc., addressed the 70 seniors who completed their degree requirements this term. Alumnus Elton White to Speak at Berea College Mid-Year Graduation

R. Elton White, a 1965 graduate and former president of global technology company NCR Corporation, will address Berea College seniors about “Success in a Changing World” at the Recognition Ceremony for Mid-Year Graduates on Sunday, December 13. The event will be held in Phelps Stokes Chapel to recognize students who are expected to complete degree requirements at the end of January 2016. KFTC Director Urges Berea’s Midyear Graduates to Pursue What “Ought to Be”

Burt Lauderdale, executive director of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth (KFTC), addressed 56 Berea College seniors participating in the midyear recognition service on Sunday, December 11, 2011, at 3 p.m. in Phelps Stokes Chapel.
