The Berea College Concert Choir conducted performances in Chicago and Wisconsin during their spring tour. On Friday, March 4, they presented concerts at noon and in the evening at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside’s Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
On Saturday, March 4, they presented an informal performance that morning at the Bahá’Í House of Worship & Welcome Center in Wilmette, Illinois. They performed at a formal evening concert at the First Unitarian Church of Chicago, which was followed by a reception.
While in Chicago, they were able to do a bit of sightseeing and went to the Field Museum, where they sang in Stanley Field Hall. That evening, they were hosted at a reception at the home of Kitty Picken, sponsor of their tour, where they met with Berea College alumni and donors who live in the Chicago area.
