Biography

Richard, or Rick, as he prefers, is originally from Estill County, Kentucky. Nowadays, he lives in Berea with his wife Sydni.

He graduated from Berea College in 2016 with a degree in English and during his time here as a student he discovered his love for storytelling. In the Spring, he will continue to feed that passion by pursuing an MFA in creative writing at Spalding University.

Rick’s role in the Appalachian Center is to work with students in the Appalachian Male Initiative (AMI) alongside Chris Green, Bobby Starnes, and many others.
