In order to access the e-mail system from a mobile device, the college requires that a passcode be set on your device(s). This practice protects college data transferred to the device including e-mail, contacts, and calendar items in the event the device is lost or stolen.

If you prefer not to use a passcode on your device, you can still access college email using the mobile friendly interface available through the device’s Web browser. Just connect to https://outlook.com/berea.edu from your mobile device, and you can access college e-mail without the need to set a passcode since this approach allows all of your data to remain on college servers.
