The Saturday afternoon Homecoming Alumni Panel discussion is a formal opportunity for alumni to return to discuss their work experiences with current students and to offer some observations and advice.
The Homecoming Alumni Panel Discussion is intended to allow current Berea students to hear the advice and the experience of those who have graduated with a degree from Berea’s Mathematics and Computer Science Department, and to provide a forum for a conversation between Berea’ alumni and Berea’s current students in which students can ask panelists questions about studying, careers, job searching, interviewing, etc. The panelists introduce themselves and the floor is then open for questions. Other alumni are most welcome and usually add useful (and sometimes amusing) information to the conversation.
In the photo above, the panelists were Michael Coleman, Berea Graduate and Director of MIS Operations with Lowes’ Corporation; Mark Ellison, Berea Graduate and Pension Actuary with Watson-Wyatt and Company in Dallas Texas; and Dr. Jack Hale, Regents Professor Emeritus and Co-founder of the Center for Dynamical Systems and Nonlinear Studies at Georgia Tech.
