Introduction to the Community-Oriented Research

This webpage explores the development and the work of an undergraduate research program at Berea College which utilizes the community as a resource for important and interesting research topics. The research itself has examined topics such as estimating certain aspect of the biological, chemical, and agricultural impact of a divisive proposal for a local chemical weapon incinerator by using mathematical and computer modeling. The evolution of our collaborative relationship with regional environmental organizations is also detailed.
