Parking for Residential Students

Resident students first must be approved by Public Safety for use of vehicle on campus before they can purchase decals. Student status takes precedence over any other considerations concerning decal eligibility and is determined by the number of credits a student has accumulated. Green Residential Student Decals are $50.00, charged to the student’s account and are valid from August to August of each year.  First year residential students are ineligible for decals, unless they are listed as Independent Students on their FASFA, are active military, or live more than 8 hours away.

Parking for Green Residential Student Decals

All students with green residential student decals must park in the following lots between the hours of 7a.m. and 7p.m.:

  • Student Lot behind Facilities Management

Students with green residential student decals may park in any Berea College lot between the hours of 7p.m. and 7a.m., Monday through Friday. Students may park in any Berea College lot over the weekend, from Friday afternoon at 7pm through Sunday night at Midnight.   Outside of these time frames, all residential student vehicles must be parked in the lots listed above.  Both Boone Tavern parking lots are off-limits for student parking at ANY time.

Resident students parking on city streets, other lots, and drives in Berea between 7AM and 7PM are subject to citations by Public Safety.  Two hour parking areas and street parking outside of the above listed evening and weekend times are subject to citation for unauthorized area, regardless of the amount of time parked in these spaces.

All other parking regulations will be in effect 24 hours a day, seven days a week and citations will be issued for violations. Vehicles parking in unauthorized areas for less than 20 minutes for the sole purpose of loading/unloading belongings must have emergency flashers activated or they are subject to citations. If flashers are inoperable, you must notify Public Safety Office prior to loading/unloading.
