BEREA, KY (September 2, 2016) – The Appalachian Food Summit will open with a free soup beans and cornbread supper at The Loyal Jones Center at Berea College September 16 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. The event, the first John Egerton Cornbread Convocation honors the generosity and inclusiveness of the late social justice activist, Southern food writer and Kentucky-born historian, John Egerton.
